After a lot of work and planning we are excited to announce that we will be opening our modified 9-hole course to all members on August 5th!

This is a huge milestone for the club, and we can’t wait to have you all back
playing golf at your club.

Thank you for your patience over the last few months, your support and understanding has been, and continues to be greatly appreciated.

The Course

The 9-hole course will be a par-30 layout, with Front and Back tees available to play. The course includes 3 par 4’s and just 1 temporary green.

The course has been rated by GolfNZ and scorecards will be eligible for handicapping from both the Back and Front tees.

We have done our best to create a fun and enjoyable course which will be enjoyed by all golfers. Most holes have needed to be modified to some degree to accommodate for newly seeded tee blocks or fairways, or due to areas which pose a health and safety risk. We have also tried to connect the course as best as possible and limit the amount of walking required from greens to tee blocks. While we have other playable holes on the course, they cannot all be easily connected with the other holes which are in play.

As the course conditions improve and holes can be extended or included in the layout, we will do this. This will ensure variety and limit foot traffic on some key holes.

Course Availability and Tee-times
  • The course will be open 5 days a week, with the course closed on Mondays and Fridays for course maintenance.
  • Tee times will be available from 8.30am to 2.30pm in 15-minute intervals each day the course is open.
  • Tee sheets will be open 7 days in advance for bookings. Bookings are available to members only currently.
  • Scorecards will be available from the office initially and then from the pro shop when this is operational.
  • Play will be limited to 9 holes per person each day.
  • Golf vehicles, including carts and electric bikes and scooters will NOT be permitted on course.
  • Wet weather is likely to cause course closures.

The above measures have been put in place to ensure that we preserve the golf course as best we can. These measures will allow us to keep the course open and available for members as often as possible and will give us the best chance of opening 18-holes as soon as possible.

These measures will be regularly reviewed and adjusted according to feedback, course conditions and on-course traffic.

Practice Facilities
The putting and chipping greens will be open from August 2nd.

The main driving range remains closed. Work to install the range netting is still to be done. This job has been delayed due to ongoing poor weather and poor ground conditions. Ground maintenance work is still required in this area, this includes rubbish and waste removal, silt relocation and seeding. This area remains a priority for the team.

The 6-hole course and 12th hole driving range remain closed at this stage.

The Pro Shop
Andrew and Chelsea will be in the Pro Shop from August 12th onwards. They will be slowly reintroducing stock and fitting out the shop as they go. Andrew is hopeful to have the new simulator room setup and ready for lessons as soon as possible.

The Car Park
Please be aware that the car park will look different to normal to accommodate both golfers and contractors working on the clubhouse renovations. Please look out for signs and be on alert for other cars and people in the car park area.

Food and Beverage
Hot and cold drinks, including alcoholic beverages and food will be available from The Black Box Café (as it has become affectionately known) from August 2nd.

The offerings will include high quality coffee and teas, bottled beer and RTD’s, wine and soft drinks. You will be able to enjoy these on the newly created outdoor patio in front of the clubhouse.

The Black Box will be cashless.
