covid 19
The Government has announced COVID-19 Level 4 measures must be in place by midnight 25.03.2020.

All operations at golf clubs must cease for at least four weeks.

This means the Napier Golf Club course, practice facilities, clubhouse, pro shop, bar, function and catering facilities must now close.

The last tee time tomorrow is 12pm (9 holes only) to allow the greens staff to close off the course.

The office will close at 4pm. The bar and café are already closed.

The Clubhouse will be in a fully alarmed lockdown including the trundler shed and locker rooms. Your membership card door opener will not work after 3pm tomorrow. If you want to remove your clubs you must do this ASAP! Members with key access to other storage facility areas are prohibited from entering the area after 3pm tomorrow until further notice.

If you see the fairways and greens being mown this DOES NOT give you the right to come and play golf! Any member found on the golf course during this closure will be in breach of the Government lock down.

The Club has a conditional skeleton greens staff (pending further government announcement) doing essential and critical maintenance work so that when the course re-opens repatriation of the course should be easier. The staff will follow all recommended Ministry of Health hygiene practices and strict social distancing.

Twilight final night has been cancelled. There will be another announcement tomorrow by newsletter with more information.

Newsletters will continue to be published - if anyone wants to send in photos or stories of what they are getting up to while in lock down send them to [email protected]

Newsletters, the Club website, and our Facebook page will have any updates relating to further closure and re-open dates.

If you need to speak to any golf club staff member please call the club phone number 844 7913. The phone system will be diverted to Mary's cell phone.
